Coaches

BC coaches are amongst the world's best!  Coaches such as Joanne McLeod (Figure Skating), Tim Frick (Wheelchair Basketball) and Dave McKay (Wrestling) are but a few examples of BC's best coaches.  The Canadian Sport Centre Pacific is fortunate to support performance coaches and believes that every athlete deserves to benefit from the expertise and advise of a certified coach. 

Coach Assessment Surveys

How are you coaching?  Coaches are always monitoring and assessing athlete performance. What about the assessment of your coaching performance? The Canadian Sport Centre Pacific has developed two surveys to provide coaches with feedback on how they support athletes in training and competition environments. Surveys can be completed by athletes, mentors, peers, parents and other stakeholders that observe your coaching. Be sure to register your name and email by clicking on the link in the navigation pane. Reports will be generated and sent to your email once five surveys have been completed.  To complete a survey, please follow the links in the right hand navigation pane. 

IPS Performance Portfolio

The IPS Performance Portfolio is a community of practice where coaches can access and share annual and long-term training plans.  The community of practice will benefit the sport system by;

• Enabling provincial and regional coaches to share training plans
• Helping sports develop a list of identified athletes
• Enabling practitioners to access training plans to implement performance services
• Providing better alignment of training and long-term athlete development

Once you complete the electronic form, it will be submitted to an administrator who will review it and grant the appropriate access.  Please note: Your username / password combination are confidential and will not be revealed or shared with anyone in accordance with the Canadian Sport Centre Pacific's Password Policy.

Canada Winter Games Review

To enable better servicing to Canada Games sports, the Canadian Sport Centre Pacific would like to get feedback from Team BC sports who participated in the 2007 Canada Winter Games.  Ideally sports should fill in the survey in consultation with their Canadian Sport Centre Pacific Sport Performance Director.  The information provided in this survey will help in providing better Performance servicing in future games.
